In an effort to reduce the environmental impact of our work, we convert timber produced as a result of our tree contracting and woodland management operations into logs for use in wood burning stoves and open fires. When burned efficiently, dry, well seasoned wood produces hardly any smoke and is almost a carbon neutral fuel.
We can supply loads of naturally seasoned hardwood logs (mainly Ash, Sycamore and Beech, with smaller quantities of Oak, Birch and other native species) with free delivery in our local area. We can deliver further afield for a small additional charge. All of our customers need logs in the autumn and winter so it is often better to order your logs for spring and summer deliveries. With a little notice, we can supply logs of any specific length, please ask when ordering.
It is not possible to supply fire wood by weight as the density of wood varies a great deal between species. We process our logs into ventilated builders bags that are then stored and seasoned under cover until the moisture content has dropped to below 20%. We supply logs by the builders bag but we do not deliver in the bags. Our logs are delivered loose in a tipper truck and you can have two, three or even four bags of logs per delivery as you wish depending on the space that you have to store them.
Please note that there is a minimum order of 2 bags.
A normal builders bag is not a cubic metre and for those customers who prefer to buy their logs by volume, threebuilders bags equates totwocubic metres of loose logs. If you would like to try our seasoned logs please give us a call or use the contact form below for details and a quotation.
